Ryun Louie Trio

What the Ryun Louie Trio did was the very essence of jazz. They took some iconic pop songs over a four or five decade period and stretched, twisted and lifted them into something beautiful, familiar yet unexpected. They enchanted their audience the whole time, put a smile on their face and left them smitten for long afterwards. It was recorded live in concert on the middle stage in the Medina Performing Arts Center on a snowy January evening but it warmed the audience’s heart from the inside. Trio Louie Live

Studio Louie Mission Statement
Our mission is to coach for personal and artistic growth and foster a lifelong love of creative expression in percussion.

"The students in Ryun Louie's Percussion studio are doing very well, demonstrating hard work and excellence in musicianship. This is an outstanding model for private Applied Percussion studio's in the country, far surpassing a normal 'private lesson' module. Congratulations on a well refined and continually growing Model..." ~ Dan Smithiger, Percussion/ Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

"Taking lessons with Ryun in high school provided me with the foundations I needed to continue with college-level study. Thanks to Ryun’s strong teaching abilities and experience in percussion of all kinds, I learned how to practice efficiently and how to play with maturity and musicality. His guidance in the preparation of my college auditions was truly essential to my success. I would strongly recommend Ryun for percussion lessons at any level." ~ Rachel McCourt, Graduate Percussion Performance Student, Cincinnati Conservatory
